Closest accessible parking

  • Two accessible parking bays on level bitumen, in the car park near the toilet block.
    Bays are 3.8 metres wide, 6.8 metres long and clearly identified.
  • Vehicle access from: Phipps Street
  • Pedestrian access: Level access at the front of the bays across the internal roadway to level wide paths.

  • The park at the top of the hill is reasonably flat with paved paths throughout.
  • There is a wide paved area next to the toilet with picnic tables and barbeques.
  • The steep curved ramp down to the river foreshore is approximately 100 metres long. Gradients in places are 1:8 and no landings are provided.
  • Steps down to the river foreshore have handrails on both sides.

  • Seats with armrests that over look the river are accessed over grass.
  • Central picnic facilities are all on level paving.
  • Picnic tables are 79cm high with 75cm knee clearance with wheelchair access at either end of tables.
  • A barbeque is 90cm high with controls at sitting height.
