Closest accessible parking

  • Two bays in the car park on the right side as you enter the park. The bays are clearly identified on level even bitumen.
  • Bays are 3.2 metres wide and 5.4 metres long.
  • Vehicle access from: Duncraig Road
  • Pedestrian access: Kerb ramp to path.

Internal area
  • Concrete paths throughout the site are wide and connect all amenities.
  • The path follows the contours of the land and provides view points over the river. Some sections are steep.
  • Bench seats without armrests are located frequently along the paths. The seats overlook the river and are set directly next to the path.

  • Directional signage is in good colour contrast with a small print.
Cafe, dining and food outlet
  • Blue Water Kiosk
  • Open Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm
  • Saturday and Sunday 8.00am to 5.00pm
  • The kiosk has counter sales with food displays and self serve items at sitting height and the order and payment counter at standing height.
  • Moveable tables with a central pedestal are 74cm high with 70cm knee clearance and chairs do not have armrests.

Picnic facilities
  • Picnic tables are located across comnpact grass, on concrete pads.
  • All tables have fixed bench seating on both sides. One tables has only one bench seat, leaving one side free for wheelchair access. The table is 79cm high with 76cm knee clearnce.

Play area
  • Access into the playground is via wide concrete paths or soft fall.
  • The playground is set over sand or wood chips with some facilities such as swings set on soft fall material.
  • The playground comprises a large play structure with many changes in level within the structure and movement through it either by gently sloping boardwalk ramps with handrails or some areas have step access only.
  • Variety of ground level play areas.
  • Park bench seats without armrests are provided overlooking the play ground.
  • Playground is shaded by sail cloth.

Barbecues
  • Barbecues are linked to the path by a concrete path. Controls are at sitting height and the cooking surface is at standing height.
