Closest accessible parking

  • Two bays in the carpark outside the club, close to a public toilet block.
  • The bays are 2.4 and 3.4 metres wide and 4.7 metres long and are identified with faded ground markings.
  • On level even bitumen.
  • Vehicle access from: Blackwall Reach, West
  • Pedestrian access:
    • Wide level access across bitumen car park with a kerb ramp to a gently sloped paved path leading down to the entrance.

External access and entrance
  • Entrance through a 1.1 metre gate held open. The kiosk and payment counter at the entrance is 98cm high.
  • Access to the accessible toilet in Bicton Quarantine Park is from the car park up a large flight of steps or a long steep ramp.

  • The covered verandah at entrance level overlooks the pool.
  • The bar off the verandah has a level entrance through a wide door.
  • Tables on the verandah are 77cm high with 74cm knee clearance. Some seats have armrests.

  • Signs are clear.
Swimming pool
  • Access from the verandah to the swimming pool is via a 1.1 metre wide and 3.6 metre long wooden ramp. The ramp has a gradient steeper than 1:8 with a handrail on one side. Access from the base of the ramp is across grass to the paved pool deck.
  • Alternative access via 6 steps to the paved pool deck and tiered spectator seating.
  • Pools are shaded in summer.
  • The toddlers pool is over a small wall.
  • Level access to the swimming pool that is accessed via ladders.
