  • The paved entrance to the complex is wide and level and park bench seats with armrests and a drinking fountain at sitting height are provided.
  • Entrance into the foyer of Recreation Centre is through a wide automatic sliding doors.

Internal area
  • The complex is spacious throughout.
  • On the entry level the complex has a large reception area with direct access into a cafe, a large spectator area with change rooms and access to the gym and exercise studio. A wide corridor leads to meeting and activity rooms.
  • On the entry level off the large specatator area there is a drinking fountain at sitting height with the push button at 80cm high.
  • Ramp access, from the specatator area leads to the courts.
  • Reception
  • Flooring throughout is vinyl and the reception counter has a lowered section 90cm high.
  • Lounge seating available with chairs with armrest at small coffee tables.

Cafe, dining and food outlet
  • Access into the centrally located  cafe is from the reception and the large spectator area over looking the courts.
  • Wide level access through all entrances with the counters 90cm high.
  • Seating is inside the cafe, in the spectator area, in the reception entrance and in a shaded alfresco area on a wooden boardwalk.
  • A range of fixed and moveable seating arrangements. Some moveable tables have a central pedestal and are 73cm high with 69cm knee clearance. Fixed and moveable seating available, some seats have armrests.

Equipment for people with disabilities
  • The Recreation Centre has gym and sports equipment suitable for people of varying abilities.
  • Staff are trained to adapt equipment and exercise classes for people with disabilities.
  • Programmes specifically designed to accommodate people of all ages and abilities include West Austrailan Disabled Sports Association (WADSA) training, Multisports and Living Longer Living Stronger programmes.
  • Sportslink programmes designed to develop the skills and confidence of children with a disability, through basic games and sports are held at scheduled times at the Recreation Centre.

  • Description: A large room with accessible shower facilities and a long bench, with 67cm knee clearance that has a fixed baby change facility and bench mounted microwave.
  • Availability: Unlocked
  • Signage: Access symbol on door with wording indicating parenting facilities
  • Change room door: A 94cm door with a D handle and large lock. The door is heavy to open and closes slowly.
  • Shower: A level access shower with a hand held shower hose and small fold down shower bench 50cm high.

Rooms

Courts
  • Ramp or stair access from upper pedstrian area.
  • Nine steps down with a handrails, are located between tiered specator seating.
  • The 1.1 metre wide ramp is 8 metres long with a midway landing, has a gadient of 1:14 and one handrail.

Gym and Exercise Studio
  • Two rooms off the entrance level next to the ramp, accessed through two 75cm wide doors.
  • Some exercise equipment such as the Dual Cable Cross, bikes with back support and lift up armrests, Dual Adjustable Pully and free weights could be suitable for people with physical disabilities.

Community and Group Rooms
  • A series of rooms, such as Art and Craft room and Meeting rooms used by community groups and scheduled activties. Some spaces are flexible with concertina walls.
  • All rooms lead off a spacious central corrdor and are spacious inside. Doors are double, 75cm wide with one door open.

Circuit Room
  • A small room at the end of the wide corridor accessed off the corridor through an 76cm wide door.
  • The room is used by small groups and has equipment that can adapted for users of varying abilities.
