Closest accessible parking

  • There are two wide accessible parking bays located at Walyunga Pool, each marked with a disabled access totem at head of bay. They are positioned at the closest bay to the picnic area in each row of parking.
  • Vehicle access from: Turn off at the Walyunga Pool exit from the entrance road.

Picnic facilities
  • Access is through the level bitumen car park and onto the paved pathway.
  • There is a 5° paved ramp down to the picnic area that is approximately 10 metres long and 5 metres wide. The bollards can be removed for vehicle access if arranged with the Ranger.
  • There are 16 picnic tables located on the paved and grassed areas with varying levels of shade from surrounding trees.
  • The picnic tables have spaces for wheelchairs at each end and have a table height of 80cm.

  • Walyunga Pool picnic area has two gas barbecues that are free-of-charge to use.

  • Description: One unisex accessible toilet is located next to the car park.
  • Signage: A disabled access totem is located at the toilet block indicating the location for the unisex toilet.
  • External access: There is a very steep pathway at the front of the toilet block. There is a more level pathway to the toilet via the road next to the toilet block where cars are able to pull up if required.
  • Toilet door: An 86cm wide manual swing door that is light to open and fast to close.
