Parking
  • Picnic Area: There are no marked parking bays at the picnic area. It is recommended that you park on the gravel section in between the picnic area and the toilets, as this is level and provides the easiest access into the picnic area and toilet.
  • Serpentine Falls Viewing Area: There is a level bitumen car park with no designated accessible bays.

Internal area
There is a sealed loop road around the grassed picnic area and leading to the Serpentine Falls viewing area car park, there is approximately 300 metres between the two areas. 
Signage, customer displays and customer information
There are information signs located on site that have good colour contrast and are easy to read.
Walkways
  • The walkway to the Serpentine Falls viewing area is 200 metres long.
  • The walkway has a loose gravel surface that is eroded in parts. The wide undulating pathway is steep in parts, so assistance would be recommended.
  • The viewing area has a level smooth concrete surface and railing along each side. The pathway is 150cm wide.
Picnic facilities
  • Access into the picnic area is via the level gravel surface next to the toilet block, as this is the only section that does not have a kerb surrounding it.
  • The grassed picnic area has 17 picnic tables which are set onto a concrete surface. There are several that are level with the grass surface.  Some have a raised lip from the cement.
  • The facilities are not linked by a pathway.
  • The picnic tables have one wheelchair space at each end and have clearance height of 70cm.
  • Shade is provided by surrounding trees.

Barbecues
  • There are five gas barbecues located within the picnic area that are free-of-charge to use.

  • Description: One unisex accessible toilet is located next to the main picnic area.
  • Signage: There is a totem with a disabled access symbol at the entrance to the toilet block.
  • External access: A firm level concrete pathway that is barrier free and 210cm wide.
  • Toilet door: An 83cm wide manual swing door that is light to open and fast to close.
