Closest accessible parking

  • Two level bitumen bays each 3.7 metres wide and 5 metres long. There is a 2.50 metre wide pedestrian space between the bays with kerb ramp access to the footpath.
  • Two level bitumen bays each 3.4 metres wide and 5 metres long.
  • Another accessible bay (3.2 X 5 metres) is accessed from Dixon Road is at the back of the complex near the netball courts.  A kerb ramp links this bay to the undercover area.
  • Pedestrian access: Access to the footpath is across the car park with a kerb ramp near the entrance to the complex. The kerb ramp is 1 metre wide with a slope of 1:8.

Pick up / set down bay
Two marked set down bays suitable for buses are at the front of the complex. They are near the accessible parking bays and use the same kerb ramp access to the pavement.
External access and entrance
  • External open area has cobblestone style paving and a windbreak each side. Narrowest point is 1 metre wide.  Entry door on left has a metal grate in the paving with spaces measuring 9cm by 3cm.
  • Entrance has two automatic sliding double doors.
Internal area
  • Reception foyer is spacious. Reception desk has two lower sections at sitting height.
  • Chairs have armrests. Tables are 73cm high with 70cm knee clearance and central pedestals.
Signage, customer displays and customer information
Information displays and signage is large with good colour contrast.
Cafe, dining and food outlet
  • Café located within the foyer.
  • External access: A low wall separates the kiosk from the foyer.  At the narrowest entrance there is 1 metre entrance space.
  • Food counter is at sitting height.

Toilet:

  • Gender: Unisex
  • Description: A unisex accessible toilet is also provided off the foyer adjacent the kiosk.
  • External access: Wide level access from the main foyer.
  • Toilet door: 77cm wide swing door with a D handle and a large lock. The door is heavy to open and fast to close.

Change Room

  • Gender: Male/Female
  • Description: Male and female accessible change rooms are provided from a wide internal corridor. A unisex accessible toilet is also provided.
  • Change room door: 77cm wide swing door with a D handle and a large lock. The door is heavy to open and fast to colse.
  • Shower: Level access. Shower seat fixed mounted shower bench, 44cm long.
  • Toilet pan height: 48cm

Rooms

Function Room
  • Purpose: Used for community events.
  • Floor surface: Carpet and wood.
  • Door width: Double wide doors.
  • Facilities: A bar at standing height with high bar tables and stools and stackable chairs without armrests.
Basketball Court/Sports Area
  • Floor surface: Wooden.
  • Door width: 79cm wide, light to open and slow to close.
  • Seating: Fixed bench seating along the wall and moveable bench seating between courts.  Some plastic chairs without armrests are available.

Indoor Sports hall
  • Floor surface: Wooden.
  • Door width: Wide double doors.
  • Seating: Tiered bench seating around the perimeter of the room accessed via three steps.  Wheelchair seating can be accommodated at floor level. Some plastic chairs without armrests are available.

Boxing and Training Room
  • Door width: 74cm
  • Facilities: Spacious inside with standard boxing equipment.
External netball courts
  • Door width: Wide sliding door held open from the kiosk to a covered verandah.
  • Access to the courts: Four steps with no handrail lead down from the verandah.
  • Alternatively there is a concrete path along the building edge which leads to an undercover area with an uneven broken slab surface.
  • There is a 4 metre long ramp made of uneven slabs that provides access to the grassed court surrounds.  this ramp has an  an average gradient 1:8. 
  • Facilities: Standard external change rooms and toilets.
