Internal area
Access to the grassed area is along a 3 metre section of uneven limestone with an average gradient of 1:8.
A path is next to a 1 metre high wall at the edge of Arthurs Head Reserve providing views over Bathers Beach.
The Signalling Station is up 3 steps with no handrail. The 3 steps in the Signalling Station have handrails.
Access to the Roundhouse gaol and down to the Whalers Tunnel is via flights of steps.

Toilet: Arthur Head Unisex Accessible Toilet

  • Gender: Unisex
  • Availability: Open between 7.00am and 6.00pm daily.
  • Customer use only: Public use toilet.
  • Description: This toilet is located between the accessible parking bay and the upper level pathway to the Roundhouse, Arthur Head Reserve.
  • Signage: Directional signs from the path and on the toilet door. Signs display the access symbol.
  • External access: Access is along the same path as described from the parking to the Arthur Head Reserve. The distance from the parking bay is approximately 17 metres.
  • Main entrance: Access to all toilets is up a 3 metre long, 1.2 metre wide wooden ramp wtih a gradient of 1:14 and no handrails. Alternatively there are 6 wooden steps. The toilet is across a wooden verandah with an 85cm wide gap through a gate that is bolted open. The entrance corridor is 1.2 metres wide.
  • Toilet door: An 80cm wide door with a small D handle and large lock. The door is light to open and slow to close.
